Chase Tyler Stoltzfus

On March 31,2009 my water broke and i was rushed to the hospital. I started to dialating but only
reached 1cm, they thought i was going into labor but then my body just stopped the labor process. So
i stayed in the hospital for a few days and they did some tests on me. They said that what happened
was a very rare case...the membranes in my placenta had errupted leaving me with no fluid in the sac
to help the baby. They were hoping that my body, on bed rest, could start to make more fluid and
that my placenta could heal and the membranes would fuse back together. They sent me home four days
later and gave me enough antibiotics so that i couldn't get an infection. In the meantime we had
lot's and lot's of people from all over and hours away praying for me and my son. My boyfriend and i
had named our little guy Chase Tyler and within days everyone knew his name and was praying for his
life. The doctors said if i could keep him alive in me for three more weeks that he would have a 1
in 4 chance of living. So we all prayed for his life and on Easter April 12, 2009 i gave birth to
him at 12:36 in the afternoon. At just 21 weeks old, weighing 12.6 ounces and measuring 11 inches in
length, he had not made it. The nurse said he came out with no heartbeat. We love and miss him very
much, although he is not with us today he will always be in our hearts. We know that God is taking
good care of our little angel and that we will be reunited one day :)
